First of all, I did not break my foot. Hooray! It's bruised/badly sprained, and I have to wear a boot till Thursday when I go back to make sure there are no stress fractures. It is very clear that I am getting old---and seriously need to warm up before a game....if there are any more games. We'll see.
My update is that I've raised 26% of my funds for my 3 Day Walk supporting the fight against Breast Cancer--that's $605 since January 26th! I can't thank everyone enough for their support. If you're planning on giving, thank you so much, and let me urge you to do it right now before life gets in the way. If you click the picture in the right column of my blog, it will take you right to my personal page and you can donate online. Also, be aware that if you give online, you can break the gift down over 4 mths. So, if you want to give a $100 but that's a bit steep in one month, you can break it up into 4 parts--$25 each month. And I will do handsprings in your honor...okay, maybe I should wait to do that till after my foot heals, lol. Also, a lot of companies will match your donation. You can check that online--or ask me, and I'll get back to you.
Just to tell you how much even the smallest donations help, 5 yr survival rates in 1982 were 76%. Since the Susan G. Komen movement began, that survival rate has increased to 98%, praise the Lord!!! This is due to increased awareness and the outpouring of money into cancer research. Thanks again for helping me change the world!!
